elciem has developed several tools to help our direct clients, insurers and brokers pull together the information they need to be able to understand the risks associated with a corporate portfolio, not just an individual location. One such tool is a reporting system that includes a quantitative risk quality rating system, which can be used to develop account overviews. These can then be used internally to aid in risk management budget allocation, by brokers to place business in the markets, and by insurers when they are considering committing capacity to an account.

elciem also provides a desktop review service, whereby we analyse and assimilate account specific data, typically from survey reports prepared by insurance and broker surveyors, and produce account overviews. This service is used by several Lloyd’s syndicates and reinsurance markets and has the benefit to insurers of releasing underwriters from non-core activities and eliminating the need to resource multiple industry sector experts internally.
